OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. —

A West Michigan mom is being charged with three counts of child abuse after her son died back in May.

Maverick Bouck was only seven months old on May 4, 2025, when he drowned to death, according to his father, Nathan Bouck.

Dispatch audio reveals first responders were called to the 9000 block of 192 Avenue in Greenwood, Oceana Co., for reports of a baby in a bath who possibly got water in the lungs. Maverick was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bouck said his son was in the custody of his mother, Elizabeth Lynn Hogan, and her boyfriend, Devin Austin Brown-Fowler, at the time of his death.

Court documents obtained by 13 ON YOUR SIDE reveal Hogan has been charged with second, third and fourth-degree child abuse.
