Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan, who is currently held in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, has launched one of his strongest attacks yet on Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, alleging that his policies are “disastrous” for the country and accusing him of deliberately “igniting tensions” with Afghanistan.

In a detailed post on X, shared in Urdu and cited by his party and family members, the 73-year-old PTI founder said Munir had worsened Pakistan’s security climate and was pursuing actions aimed at bolstering his international profile.

His remarks came a day after his sister, Dr Uzma Khan, was allowed to meet him after more than a month following special permission from the Shehbaz Sharif-led government.
