BELOIT Wis. (WMTV) - The Beloit City Council appointed a new interim city manager after the departure of outgoing City Manager Jerry Gabrielatos, officials announced Wednesday.

City Attorney and Deputy City Manager Elizabeth Krueger will temporarily serve in the new role starting Friday, Dec. 5. This is her second time in the role; she previously served from August 2022 to February 2023.

Krueger has been with the city of Beloit since May 2006, serving as city attorney and deputy city manager since 2014 and 2015, respectively.

City Council President Kevin Leavy said the council appreciated her thoughtful leadership.
