A whopping 720 runs were scored during the second ODI between India and South Africa in Raipur with as many as three batters hitting centuries. South Africa had fallen short in the series opening match which was also a high-scoring affair. However, this time, the Proteas managed to get over the line in style as they hunted down a mammoth target of 3359 with four deliveries to spare pull themselves on level terms with India in the ongoing three-match series.
While the pitch was flat, the dew made life worse for India. However, the bowlers, at times, were also guilty of straying off their lines and lengths as was evident by the reaction of ex-captain Rohit Sharma who couldn’t hide his disappointment when Prasidh Krishna conceded a boundary during what was a tense period of the contest.
