New Delhi, Dec 04: Russian President Vladimir Putin will begin a two-day visit to India on December 4, hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The agenda includes strengthening defense cooperation and discussing trade and energy partnerships amidst U.S. sanctions on India. A significant defense agreement has been cleared by Moscow, and discussions may involve the potential supply of Su-57 fighter jets to India.
Following the summit, Putin will attend a state banquet and launch a new RT channel in India, aiming to enhance media engagement. The visit marks Putin’s first since the Ukraine invasion and seeks to reinforce the “Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership” between the two nations.
