Dog Swept Out to Sea Saved After Hour Long Search by San Diego Lifeguards
Sadie, a five year old black Labrador mix from San Diego, went missing during a football game when she quietly slipped out of her home and wandered off without her family realizing it. When her owners discovered she was gone, they immediately activated the AirTag attached to her collar. The signal led them in the direction of Ocean Beach, but they had no idea that Sadie was already in grave danger.
Unbeknownst to them, Sadie had been caught in a powerful rip current and pulled through the Mission Bay channel into open water.
