LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The community continues to mourn the sudden death of 19-year-old Brianna Aguilera as family and friends try to make sense of her passing.

Aguilera last spoke to her family on November 29 before attending a football tailgate party in Austin. Hours later, a passerby discovered her body near an apartment complex in Austin.

Among those feeling the loss is United High School cheer coach Stephanie Barreras, who watched Aguilera grow from a determined freshman into a young woman eager for her future.

“Just her smile, every day she walked into that dance hall, and came ready to work. She was just so determined,” Barreras said. “She always talked about how she wanted to go to A&M, how she was so excited for her future.”
