The winning ways continue for the UTEP women's basketball team.
UTEP improved to 7-0 overall and 6-0 at home with a 62-44 win against Texas A&M Corpus Christi at the Don Haskins Center. The Islanders fall to 1-6 with the loss.
The Miners never trailed in the game and the 44 points were the fewest allowed this season.
UTEP controlled first half
The Miners led 29-15 at halftime and held the Islanders to just five field goals, The Miners also forced 13 turnovers.
Sirviva Legions led the Miners with 10 points and Portia Adams scored eight points. The Miners could have had a larger lead but missed 5 of 11 free throws.
