[DES MOINES, Iowa] — The Iowa Board of Regents has appointed new leadership roles, naming Robert Kramer as the new president and Kurt Tjaden as president pro tem. This decision follows the announcement that Sherry Bates and Greta Rouse are stepping down after serving the board for several years.

In the same meeting, the Regents approved the plans for the "Cy-Town" development at Iowa State University. The initial site plan for Cy-Town was agreed upon in January.
