SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - Suwannee County commissioners released the findings of an audit during a Wednesday meeting, saying their disappointment with the results is an understatement.
More than 50 residents attended the meeting, pressing for answers about the management of county funds.
Commission Chair Franklin White presented his summary of the recent audit findings during the meeting.

He said it found that the county missed out on nearly $14 million of grants they qualified for due to mismanagement by the emergency management office.
The audit also claims the county may be paying fake or fraudulent vendors, and there is limited to no oversight of emergency management.
