CINCINNATI —

Former Cincinnati Reds pitcher and Queen City native Brent Suter is giving back to the community during the holiday season.

On Thursday, people will have the chance to spend time with Suter to support The Help Squad, a nonprofit that helps families through difficult times and avoid homelessness. Advertisement

The event starts at 5 p.m. Thursday at Bucketheads on Harrison Avenue.

Attendees can bring new and unwrapped toys for Nate’s Toy Box and Threads of Hope. Donations can be dropped off through Dec. 15.

Suter will be at the event on Thursday signing autographs.
