WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Jana Sallman poured in 17 points to lead four in double figures as William & Mary handed Wake Forest its first loss of the season, 67-64, at the LJVM Coliseum on Wednesday morning.

The game began with both teams trading early baskets. Wake Forest (9-1) initially found rhythm through a 3-pointer by Grace Oliver. The Tribe (3-4) responded with Natalie Fox scoring a jumper at 8:49, assisted by Alexa Mikeska , which helped keep the visitors within striking distance.

The opening quarter saw multiple lead changes and was tightly contested, with Monet Dance’s 3-pointer at 2:20 narrowing the gap before Kyah Smith tied the game at 1:30 with a 3-pointer, assisted by Cassidy Geddes . The first quarter concluded with the Tribe and Demon Deacons deadlocked
