Police arrested a man near the railway bridge at Mura in Kabaka village while he was allegedly attempting to sell narcotics. They seized 10 grams of MDMA from his possession. The accused has been identified as Umar Farooq (41), a resident of Kabaka, Puttur. A case has been registered against him under Sections 8(C) and 22(b) of the NDPS Act at the Puttur Town Police Station.
Acting on credible information that a person was trying to sell drugs near the railway bridge, Puttur Town Police Sub-Inspector Anjaneya Reddy and his team conducted a raid. The suspect was detained at the spot, and during interrogation and inspection of his two-wheeler, police found 10 grams of MDMA that he had allegedly kept for sale.
