A man has been arrested by Uppinangady police under the POCSO Act for allegedly stalking and harassing a minor girl.

The arrested accused has been identified as Muhammad Mustafa (40), a resident of Periyadka.

According to the complaint filed by the girl’s brother, the accused had been following the girl from the bus stand for the past two months and had allegedly tried to call her home on November 29.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and arrested the accused. He was later produced before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody, police said.
