LA Clippers President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank spoke to reporters on Wednesday. He strongly denied that Paul was being made a scapegoat for the team’s struggles this season.
“We did not make this move because of our underperformance. He had nothing to do with that. We are not scapegoating Chris Paul. We have great respect for Chris, for the career he’s had. We’re not blaming him for our underperformance,” Frank said.
