The UK faces a wall of rain which will turn to snow - with England, Scotland AND Wales hit. UK weather maps show that three Home Nations are set for an Arctic blast next week, as the UK turns freezing ahead of Christmas.

Maps and charts, from WX Charts, show icy temperatures and widespread snow are set to hammer England, Wales AND Scotland in a spell of unsettled weather.

The maps, based on GFS modelling, show at midday on December 12 maps, snow from the Arctic is set to sweep in. Initially a wall of rain, the deluge of downpours will eventually transform to the white stuff.
