Immaculate Heart opened its season with an 8-0 victory over Chatham at Ice Vault Arena in Wayne.

The Blue Eagles were led by Julia Bussanich and Taylor Ahrens, who combined for eight points in the win.

Bussanich kicked off the scoring early in the first period with two goals, both assisted by her linemates Delaney Cozine and Ahrens.

Cozine got in on the action in the second period with a goal of her own, assisted by Holland Haftek and Lucia Amico to make it 3-0. Ahrens added another tally before the end of the period to give Immaculate Heart a 4-0 lead heading into the third.
