Mohammed Siraj is a Test regular. Till the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup, he was a regular fixture in India’s ODI setup too. In fact, he entered the marquee campaign as the world’s top-ranked ODI bowler. However, his stocks, in white-ball cricket, have taken a hit since India’s defeat in the world cup final in Ahmedabad.
India have played 19 ODIs since the world cup final and Siraj has featured in just six with three of them against Australia recently. During this period, he missed India’s victorious campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy as well.
While in Tests, he continues to be impressive and played the starring role with the ball as India drew the hard-fought Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2-2 earlier this year.
His record in ODIs is decent: 73 wickets from 46 innings at an average of 2
