The event also tapped Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Lanie Gardner, McCoy Moore, Chase McGill, Luke Laird, Randy Montana and Rocky Block for a rousing round of performances in support of cancer research and patient advocacy

"I'm just lucky first and foremost to have a platform to stand on, to be able to support just through music," HARDY tells PEOPLE of his participation in the event
