Asha Kiran, daughter of late Kapu leader Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga, appears to be preparing for a public-facing role.

Although she maintains that she has not taken any political decision, her recent moves indicate early groundwork for a potential entry into the state’s political arena.

Asha Kiran on Tuesday announced that a massive public meeting titled “Ranganadu” will be held in Visakhapatnam on December 26, marking Ranga’s death anniversary.

The event will be organised by the Radha-Ranga Royal Association, and a poster for the programme was formally unveiled.

She emphasised that the gathering would transcend caste, religion and political affiliations, and is intended as a tribute to her father and to mobilise Ranga’s admirers irrespective of their party loyalties.
