THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thiruvananthapuram Sessions Court has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Rahul Mamkootathil MLA, facing charges of raping a woman. Along with yesterday's strong argument, the prosecution presented new evidence this morning and also informed the court about the registration of a new rape case against Rahul. The court denied bail after considering all this.

The hearing was held in a closed room from yesterday as per Rahul's request. The arguments presented by the plaintiff and the defendants yesterday, including digital evidence, lasted for more than an hour and a half. The argument, which began at 11.45 am, ended at 1.20 pm. The prosecution opposed the anticipatory bail plea.
