A temporary traffic order lasting up to 18 months is proposed for a busy North East road.
The measure at the A1305 Riverside is proposed by Stockton Council to facilitate works on or near the road.
The order, effective from December 12, will see the reopening of the southbound section between Quayside Road and Tower Street.
However, a temporary right-turn ban will be introduced on vehicles travelling southbound from the A1305 Riverside onto Tower Street.
The restriction will be enforced at times indicated by traffic management signs.
It is anticipated that the measures will remain in place until the summer of 2026, and the Order may continue in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
Access for pedestrians and emergency services will not be maintained during this period.
