Nagpur : A 26-year-old pedestrian was killed on the spot in a hit-and-run accident near the Government Polytechnic College under the Sadar Police Station limits on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred between 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm near the Sadar Flyover.

The deceased has been identified as Lalu Shravan Rajvanshi, a resident of Sapaiyya, Akbarpur, Manail, Lodhipura, Navada (Bihar). According to police, Rajvanshi was walking towards his destination when a speeding truck (MH 31 CQ 9098) allegedly driven recklessly, rammed into him. The impact proved fatal, and he died on the spot. The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
