Labour has issued a "considering" update over a wood burning ban. UK households with wood burners and log burners face a strict crackdown from the Labour Party government, with MPs now addressing it in the Commons.
Labour MP Bell Ribeiro-Addy reached out with a question for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs regarding firewood and air pollution, saying she wanted "to ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, whether he plans to introduce further restrictions on domestic wood burning in urban areas with poor air quality."
In reply to the question, given in November, Emma Hardy replied on December 2. Ms Hardy said: "Wood burning is a major source of fine particulate matter (PM2.5), especially in urban areas.
