Childress has played a key role in strengthening the Monroe Family YMCA’s anti-hunger initiatives, according to the announcement. Her responsibilities include helping with meal preparation, managing distribution support and overseeing daily operations at food program sites.
In 2025, the Monroe Family YMCA served 20,606 children, provided 200,951 meals and distributed 301,427 pounds of food throughout Monroe County.
