Star England pacer Mark Wood has said that although there is a chance for him to play at the Adelaide Test starting December 17, it would be more realistic to think that he would be available for the Boxing Day Test and the Sydney Test, but all of it depends on when his knee gets out of the brace.

Wood underwent surgery on his left knee after limping out of England’s Champions Trophy campaign in February and the Perth series opener marked his first Test appearance in 15 months.

Wood sent down 11 wicketless overs but was referred to a specialist after experiencing renewed pain and has been wearing a knee brace since reaching Brisbane.
