Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has said that no one should mess around with players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, adding that if the duo ‘press the correct buttons’, the ones messing around with them will be seen nowhere, sending a stern warning to all critics.

In an interview, Shastri issued a sharp warning to ‘trouble-makers’ amidst the ongoing debate over Rohit and Kohli’s future in the Indian team. He cautioned critics and ‘certain people’ not to ‘ mess around’ with the duo’s careers or reputations.

Having shared a father-son-like bond with Kohli and worked with Rohit, Shastri did not hold back in his remarks.

“Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are ODI giants. You don’t mess around with players of that stature," Shastri said while speaking to Prabhat Khabar.
