Princeton’s football team began the season at University of Charleston Stadium at Laidley Field, and on Saturday, the Tigers' season will end there.
Princeton will take on Nitro in the WVSSAC Class AAA state title game scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. -- the last of four championship games slated for this weekend – on the same field where coach Nathan Tanner’s team defeated Capital to open the season on Aug. 29.
While Princeton (13-0) has never won a state championship, the Tigers are making their second appearance in three seasons in the final. They were defeated by Martinsburg at the conclusion of the 2023 season at Wheeling Island Stadium.
