A former aide to U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-2) who is accused of staging her own violent anti-Republican attack has been ordered to inpatient mental health treatment.

Natalie Greene, 26, of Ocean City, a former constituent services representative for the congressman, was charged last month with making false statements and conspiring to convey false statements and hoaxes, according to federal court documents.

In the summer 2025, police found her at Egg Harbor Nature Reserve.

She was zip-tied, with her shirt pulled over her head and various cuts to her face, neck, chest and shoulder areas.

She also had the words “Trump Whore” written on her stomach and Van Drew “Is Racist” written on her back, documents said.
