We are in the season of the year most characterized by being thankful and joyful, a time for the expressions of kindness and good will toward men.
Whatever the season, the South does not always get the credit, or even a mention for the things that are noteworthy and well done.
Why is that? It is because there are so many things that are peculiar to the South that cannot be downplayed or ignored completely. Then there are those who represent themselves as being knowledgeable about the South, Southern folkways, customs and values, but who are absolutely not.
