TILTON — Sean Valovanie has worked his way up through the ranks of Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS over the past two decades. His hard work paid off this week when he was officially sworn in as the new chief.
“I’m excited to lead the fire department to its next chapter,” said Valovanie, who had been the interim chief since Nov. 5. “I am surrounded by an excellent staff. The crew here is unbelievable, and I look forward to work with them to serve the towns of Tilton and Northfield.”
Valovanie was sworn in during the Dec. 1 meeting of the Tilton-Northfield Fire Commission. In a statement signed by Commissioners Timothy Sattler, Paul Auger and Jason Wright, Valovanie was described as “a dedicated member of the department.”
