Renowned music director Ilaiyaraaja and makers of “Dude” and “Good Bad Ugly” have settled a copyright infringement dispute over the musician’s works after he was paid Rs 50 lakh as a part of the settlement.

Justice Senthil Kumar Ramamoorthy observed that the warring parties – the music director and Mythri Movie Makers – had entered into negotiations and concluded a settlement.

“The terms thereof have been reduced to writing in joint memorandum of compromise dated 28.11.2025. The said document has been signed digitally by the plaintiff and by the defendant. The respective counsel have also signed,” the order said.
