A woman accused of being drunk while in charge of a vehicle is to contest the breath test reading over which the allegation was brought against her.
Ellie Boyce is seeking expert advice as to the amount of alcohol she believes she had consumed prior to being asked to undergo a breathalyser test by police.
Appearing before magistrates in Peterlee, on Monday (December 1), she faced a single charge that she was in charge of a motor vehicle while the alcohol level was above the limit in her system.
It is said that she was in charge of a Hyundai i20 car on Victoria Embankment, Darlington, while she had 61mg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath, on Saturday, November 15.
