Ed Stoner, a longtime Fort Collins realtor, city booster and former mayor — both officially and in name — died from complications of a hip injury Nov. 24. He was 80 years old.
Known as "the mayor of Old Town Square," Stoner was an early champion of the development of the square in the 1980s. He later became the president of downtown property management firm Old Town Square Properties, overseeing the square's leasing and property management.
