Dhaka: A four-member Chinese medical team has arrived in Bangladesh to assist in the treatment of former prime minister Khaleda Zia , who remains in a critical condition at a private hospital. The doctors have joined a UK specialist group led by Dr Richard Buell, who arrived earlier to help chart an advanced treatment plan for the 80-year-old BNP chairperson.
The Chinese delegation, consisting of doctors Chi Jiang Fang, Yan Xin, Zhong Yuhui, and Meng Huang Wu, reached Evercare Hospital late on Wednesday and met with the medical board to review possible treatment options, the state-run BSS news agency reported.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir received the team upon arrival and discussed Zia’s care with the specialists, according to bdnews24.com.
