TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – Environmental advocates can learn how to make their own holiday wreaths and financially support a conservation organization in Northern Michigan.
The Grand Traverse Conservation District will host both a holiday wreath fundraiser and its annual benefit wreath-making workshop at the Boardman River Nature Center in Traverse City. The wreaths will all be made with locally sourced evergreens.
The district’s wreath fundraiser costs $75 per wreath and requires advance online ordering . Pickup dates are Dec. 12 and 13.
The annual wreath-making workshop costs $50 and additionally requires registration . Participants in the Dec. 13 workshop will be instructed how to create their own wreaths with forest greenery and other materials provided at the nature center.
