PORTLAND, Ore. — On Wednesday, the Portland Police Bureau released video connected to the arrest of a 19-year-old involved in an illegal street takeover and hit-and-run.
The footage, they said, highlights the dangers of reckless driving and eluding, not only to officers but to bystanders and other drivers on the road.
On Thursday, November 27, at around 11:30 p.m., PPB responded to the street takeover near Northeast Cully and Prescott, for reports of 40 street racers in the area — and one car stunt driving in the intersection. They also learned a woman, who later left the scene, had been hit by a car.
