Mesa County recently celebrated the completion of the latest phase of improvements to 32½ Road, which connects U.S. Highway 6 in Clifton to D½ Road, including the Clifton Community Campus and Rocky Mountain Elementary.

The project included installing a roundabout at 32½ Road and E Road, widening of 32½ Road at the Grand Valley Canal north of E Road, and a shared-use path.

Construction took about a year, according to Mesa County Engineering Director Laura Page.

Before the project was finished, 32½ Road dead-ended at E Road, Page said. The county decided to connect 32½ Road all the way through because of the construction of the Clifton Community Campus.
