Manitoba’s municipal leaders have sent a clear message to the province: before any part of Canada’s sweeping 30×30 conservation plan moves forward, rural communities want a seat at the table.

The province signed a memorandum of understanding with Ottawa, committing $2.1 million to the 30×30 goal, without consulting local governments or the AMM.
