The latest expert to join our live breakfast event on Friday December 12 says the North East can - and should be - a much bigger draw for tourists.

Huw Lewis is Assistant Director of Communications at the North East Combined Authority and on the 12th he will be joining a panel of leading voices from across the North East to talk about how Culture, Heritage and Tourism are driving our regional growth.

The free event is part of The Northern Echo's Impact campaign for jobs and investment and will take place in the stunning SIX rooftop restaurant at the Baltic centre in Gateshead from 9am.
