That about sums up the essence of Rock-4-Tots, a toy drive that partners R4T personnel with classic rock station WCSX-FM (94.7) for two days of free live music at Freddy’s Bar & Grill in Clinton Township.
Admission is $5 or a new, unwrapped toy.
Now in its 18th year, the event is fueled by the philosophy every child should have something under the tree on Christmas morning.
“When we started, this as a very small event 17 years ago there was no way we imagined it would be what it is today,” said Jimmy Klapp, who co-founded the event with Margie Anders. “We wish the need didn’t exist, but as long as it does we will do our best to help as many kids and families as we can.”
