A provincial lawyer says it’s clear that, with courtrooms shutting down because of lack of staff, we’re either going to have to prosecute fewer people or we’re going to have to have more judges, courtrooms, Crown prosecutors and defense lawyers.

Lynn Moore of the firm Morris Moore told VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly that it looks like the Jordan rule is not going away anytime soon and the justice system will not be able to function as it once did without significant changes.

She says not having Provincial Court accessible affects a lot of people who depend on it as that is the workhorse of the court system.
