AUBURN — It was a double-digit victory against a high-major foe, but Auburn basketball coach Steven Pearl was far from pleased postgame.
"Our execution has got to get better for us to beat the best teams on our schedule," he said. "Our offense has got to get better. If it wasn't for tough shotmaking by KO ( Kevin Overton ) and Keyshawn Hall, we don't win that game. Two of our best players bailed us out when we had very poor performances from other guys on our team."
The 24th-ranked Tigers staved off NC State and its high-powered offense for an 83-73 victory on Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the ACC/SEC Challenge.
