BIRMINGHAM — While junior quarterback Trent Seaborn couldn't sign just yet with Alabama football on the first day of the NCAA early signing period , he was representing Alabama pride as he led Thompson to a 48-10 win at the Super 7 Class 7A state championship on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Seaborn has been a point of interest for Alabama football since he was 14 years old. As an eighth grader, he led Thompson to a state championship win, and has done so in three of his four seasons, with the fourth coming just two points short in a 21-19 loss to Central-Phenix City in the 2023 Super 7 championship game.
Trent and his dad, Jason Seaborn, knew how rare it was that he got an offer from none other than coach Nick Saban at such a young age, let alone at the quarterback position.
