Poundland is shutting more branches this month as 2025 comes to a close.

The retailer has earmarked around 30 stores for closure as part of a restructuring plan which came in as the Gordon Brothers purchased the business for a nominal sum.

Poundland bosses determined that 800 shops around Britain will need to be slashed to a figure of 650 to 700. This has been an ongoing process since October, with a number of high street branches axed as a result of the reforms.

There are three locations shutting down this month, with the first of the month's closures taking place today (December 4).
