A reporter was filming a news story in New Zealand earlier this week when she was struck in the face by a seagull, all of which was caught on camera.
But she responded to the hit — and resulting injury — with humor.
On Tuesday, Dec. 2, Jessica Tyson was shooting a segment about fast fashion in Auckland when the bird flew into her face, aided by strong winds, she shared on Facebook .
Tyson, a former Miss World New Zealand, was about to film a second take when the bird's body jolted her head to the side.
