Syracuse, N.Y. ― It wasn’t hard to put together a Mailbox this week. The hard part was trying to put together a Mailbox that wasn’t made up entirely of questions about free throw shooting.

Syracuse’s free throw shooting (41%) cost the Orange a chance to upset Houston in Las Vegas. The foul shooting was better, but still bad (56%), in the loss to Kansas. It improved to 63% in the 31-point loss to Iowa State.

Syracuse is now shooting 57.3 percent from the line after its 62-60 upset win over 13th-ranked Tennessee on Tuesday.
