Agartala, 4 th December 2025 : A migrant worker engaged in gas pipeline construction was critically injured after being hit by a dumper truck in the Churaibari police station area this afternoon. The driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle.

Locals informed that the incident took place around 12 noon near the Sales Tax Bypass. The dumper, bearing registration number TR01AT-1821, was reversing when it struck the worker, who was employed on the Silchar–Agartala gas pipeline project. The impact caused the truck’s wheel to run over his waist, leaving him severely injured and bleeding on the national highway.
