DETROIT - Ever seen what was used to resurface the ice before the invention of the Zamboni? It’s just one of many historic items now on display to celebrate 100 years of the Detroit Red Wings franchise.

The “Detroit Red Wings at 100: Becoming Hockeytown” exhibition runs from now through next November at the Detroit Historical Museum at 5401 Woodward Avenue.

And this isn’t a small exhibition. It encompasses three different galleries and is included with admission into the museum.
