The NFL released the entire list of Walter Payton Man of the Year nominees on Thursday, as every team has selected its respective nominees for what is recognized as the most prestigious award in the NFL. Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward won the award in 2023, and Pittsburgh’s 2025 nominee is another defensive player.

Edge rusher Alex Highsmith is Pittsburgh’s nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year. He was presented with the honor by former nominee Charlie Batch.

Highsmith created the Alex Highsmith Family Foundation, which was created with the goal of “empowering the next generation by building strong foundations in everyday life.”
